World is my village and all humans are it’s citizens
Here is the welcome board to my village Varapuzha. It is written in Malayalam our mother tongue. The word in bold letters is ‘swagathan’ means welcome. To my surprise the last two lines depicting the population and the area of the village are left blank, as if to proclaim ‘World is my village, and all human beings are my fellow citizens…’

Thank you Janet for your comment. When we speak English, sometimes the edges get rounded off 🙂 and people make fun of our English accent. So, I must say that Malayalam is a well rounded off language both written and verbal 🙂

From an outsider’s view, Malayalam is a nice script to look at. I remember staring at the hotel boards when I visited Kerala. Couldn’t take my eyes off. Thanks for sharing this.
