Weekly photo challenge : Monument – Monument of the Dhobi

Today, being a holiday (Vishu, the Malayalam New year), I had some time for photography, and went around inside our apartment with my 50mm lens, and the Dhobi caught my attention. He is still using the coal fired iron box, which is a monument of the traditional Dhobi. I am grateful to you dear friend, for the simple luxuries of life, like having someone to iron my clothes perfectly. I totally disagree with those born cribbers who cribs about the poor quality of life in India. God bless you abundantly…dear Dhobi…, let your business flourish because these small pleasures of mine can last only till you are in business.
